Senior Analytic Developer

20+ person cutting edge investment manager seeks experienced programmer with strong analytic finance skills, covering corporate credit, fixed income and related derivatives. Research-driven, technology-based investments organization ($5B AUM) is looking for team lead to manage core financial technology development. The firm spends more than 40% of the budget on technology which accounts for 1/3 total staff. Close interaction with research and product development. Ideal candidate would have strong grasp of finance and 3-5 yrs of development experience around analytic finance and derivatives.

BS Computer Science or equivalent.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
4+ years experience of hands-on Java programming with strong design and coding experience on the full spectrum of web technologies such as EJBs, Servlet, JSP, JavaScript, DHTML.
Solid understanding of RDBMS design, modeling, and implementation.
Strong understanding of application and data integration (Java & XML).
Strong Math/Statistics/Finance background
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Desired additional skills:

Advance degree in related field (finance) is a plus.
Certification in FRM or CFA is big plus.
